Good Books

Beside the excellent resources available from the Oklahoma Geological Survey, many others are readily available from libraries or web-based book stores.  Below is a list of informative and enjoyable books that provide general background on trilobites and the Paleozoic Era.  Those having relevance to the Devonian Period are shown near the top.  This compilation will be updated periodically as new books emerge or are identified.

The Back to the Past Museum Guide to Trilobites, ISBN 9788872035153.  This exquisite English translation and updated edition of Enrico Bonino and Carlo Kier's earlier Italian opus (see below) is available through info@backtothepast.com.mx or the publisher at marna@marna.it. This penultimate, beautifully illustrated book is required reading for anyone seriously interested in a solid and exciting introduction to trilobites.
